McDonald's Play Place Area

The biggest reveal for the kids is always the play place equipment. This McDonald's gym is sure to be a lot of fun by incorporating new gym equipment, with cool faves, plus new ideas. The decor in the room is also very kid friendly, yet appealing for the adults. A sliding door seperates the main dining area from the play place dining. Here are a couple of pictures...but we still have a ways to go before this area is ready for playtime.

Parkway Subs joined by McDonald's Subs

As it gets closer to completing the project, we will have McDonald's subs and crews come in to do their contracted work that is required to complete the building. Right now we have Michael Jasper and Ruthann here to determine how the cooler will be set up. They are joined by the play place team that will set that equipment together throught this week. Finally they have a security crew that will begin to do some running of security and monitor wiring. Our crews continued to work focusing on the newly posted checklist of incomplete contracted work.

Woody's Cleaning House

Without NASCAR races to watch, Woody took a trip to the job site. With the play place equipment and crew coming tomorrow, he decided to make sure everyone finished cleaning up yesterday before leaving. He found that all the clean up was not finished so he cleared out the play place area and then started cleaning floors. The floor cleaning was a test to see is the tile is going to clean up easily enough. Below are some pictures of the areas.

Energizing the Transformer

Lots of work going on in and out of the building. The most pressing work is the electrical work. The electricians are pushed for time to meet the schedule for getting the switch gear wire out to the transformer, so that Oncor can energize the transformer. Oncor came out today to begin running their lines from the pole.

Day After the Rain

Last night it finally rained hard. It lasted quite a long while. We went back to the job site to make sure everything was secure and holding up. Today we've been able to confirm that we had no damage. Crews are able to return to work today, except Atmos gas company that is going to wait until it dries off a little more. In the photos Michael Jasper is seen as he looks over the muddy drive thru. The signs are on the building. The roofer continues to install the yellow & silver metal. Please note the water in the photos.

McDonald's Drive Thru

This is the drive thru area. Before we can pour the drive, we are waiting to have a storm drain line run across this area. Also, we are still waiting for Atmos Gas to run the gas line to the building. When the menu boards are set we will need to be sure the curbs allow sufficient space for vehicles.

Today the painters arrived to begin tape and bedding. They have already done most of the place place and moved into the restaurant. We've not worked with this crew before, but we are very impressed. The EIFS crew came and finished their work, cleaned up after themselves, packed it up, and left by noon. Sheetrock work is almost complete. Tomorrow that crew will start on ceiling grid. Tiling is contining into the crew room. All MEP's, less the Plumbers have continued to work on their lines. Finally, the concrete crew is finishing up forms to pour concrete tomorrow.
